The Olympia High School Student Council has planned a week full of fun activities for this year’s 1950’s Themed Homecoming, including a bags tournament, tailgating, lawn mower races, and slime time.

During the week of October 10, OHS is having its annual Homecoming.Themed after the movie Grease.

OHS Student Council President Alyssa Halliday said, “There are four new activities this year.”

Those activities are slime time, a bags tournament, a tailgate before the game, and lawn mower races. These activities will be held during the week of Homecoming.

All together, there are twenty-one activities for the students to participate in. There will also be assemblies every morning besides Wednesday. This year's Homecoming is a four day week with the big pep assembly on Friday.

After school, there will also be activities everyday. Those activities include everything from hallway decorating, a movie on the football field, a girls’ football game, a bonfire, a dance, and the varsity football game on Friday.

The Olympia High School Student Council puts on Homecoming for the students every year. They have been working on Homecoming since August, according to Mrs. Brandi Cooper, OHS Student Council Advisor. Mrs. Cooper has been with the OHS Student Council since ‘06, and head since ‘08.
