The OHS Boy’s Golf team is nearing the end of its season with an around 500 record with big time wins over conference powerhouse schools such as Eureka and PC.
The team is pretty small with only 3 seniors and a junior. The seniors are Cam Litwiller, Lucas Smith, and C.J. Barekman. The lone junior is Layne Haning.
“My stroke is feeling pretty good this year, most comfortable it’s been,” said Senior Cam Litwiller on his game this year.
Even though the Spartan’s golf team is a little small this year, it doesn’t mean they can’t take down other schools.
“I’ve been golfing for as long as I can remember, it’s always been my hobby,” said senior C.J. Barekman. He and his team have won a couple of tournaments.
The success this year has come from the boy’s relationship over the years between themselves and their coach, Mr. Rod Dale.
“I feel prepared for next Wednesday due to how my season went,” said Barekman.  He wants to end his career by making a state run.
The team will travel to Metamora Wednesday October 7th, 2015 for their regional against great schools. The boys are looking to win their first regional title of their career.
