This season’s Olympia boy’s soccer team is full of enthusiasm, with one of the largest teams in school history, and they have high hopes for making it far in the postseason.

The starting roster for the Olympia Boys varsity soccer team is looking strong. The roster is, Blake Dehn at goalie, Andres Alberts-left wing, Tristan Davis-midfielder, Johann Meyer-midfielder, Josh Kaminsky-right wing, Jesse Furman-forward, Wes Israel-forward, Levi Litwiller, Jordan Judge, Caleb Yeazle, and Austen Manahan all as-defenders.

The current team record is 5-7 with at least 5 games left. “The team continues to improve each day,” said Tristan Davis.

Soccer practices are very productive this year, the team is really working to get better. Senior Tristan Davis said “practice is very beneficial and we improved a lot every day”.

One of the goals the team has this year is to become a closer team. They also have the goal of advancing out of regionals and taking the team were it has never gone, possibly state.

The team's goals will not be easy, Captain Blake Dehn preaches about how the team's needs to channel their inner concentration to obtain their greatest goals. With a team this speacial that has great leader, there should be able to overcome this slight concentration problem.

The stats do not lie, this year’s team may truly be one like no other. The team as a whole has scored roughly 30 goals lead by highest scoring senior, Jesse Furman. They have given up slightly more goals, but considering their very hard schedule, this is something to be proud of.

This year's boys team is up there with some of the other good teams in Olympia’s history. when asked how this seasons team compares with the past teams, junior captain Andres Alberts said, “Best we have had in years, and we have a lot more numbers.”
